David Sanborn – THE DREAM – a contemporary tempo analysis with bpm graphs, tempo maps, measurements and performance videos
david sanborn is an excellent stylist whose best song is THE DREAM. The only place in cyberspace I could find any analysis of the tempo of the song was, well, in comments that were vague to the point of not being useful to me as a drummer. Therefore, my staff and I broke the song down and present this article and encourage you to check out this page should you have an interest in the way Dave uses tempo.
“The Dream” is a song from David Sanborn’s Greatest Hits.
As the provider of the YouTube clip notes: “No one else could give a jazz song the type of character that David Sanborn can.”
